Christmas

And Santa Whispered, "Teach the children the true meaning of Christmas."

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The Monday before we went to Jay's parents' house, and Carly and her cousins acted out the Nativity. Jay's mom put it together, and it was such a good idea to help the children learn the true meaning of Christmas. Carly was the angel that came to the shepherds. She wore the ballerina princess dress that my manager, Brenda, and her husband,Tom, got for her. Brenda and Tom are very good friends of ours and love to spoil Carly. This picture turned out a little blurry, but it works because it gives the illusion of a glowing angel.

This year we were very excited because my sister, Angela, came down from Texas with her husband, Jeff, and son, Brayden. Plus my little sister, Melissa, came down from BYU Provo.

Carly enjoyed Brayden's company, but she did have trouble with sharing. She wanted to play with whatever Brayden was playing with, and Brayden was the same way. It didn't matter what it was, Carly was not interested in sharing. In this picture Carly wants to play with the trash can just because Brayden was.

Jay and I wanted to spend plenty of time with both sides of the family, so we got up very early Christmas morning. Carly was up late Christmas Eve and did not like our idea. In this picture she still has sleepy eyes. This is a picture at my parents house with her favorite monkey and new stroller from my mom. Carly loved it and pushed it around all day.

When we went to Jay's parents' house, we had a special treat because Grandma Weaver came to visit. I was also there when Aunt Joanne called to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Jeff, Angela and Brayden had to go back to Texas yesterday and I already miss them. Brayden has a ton of energy and he always kept Carly entertained. In this picture Carly and Brayden discover that they can fit in the entertainment center after taking out everything that was in there. What a mess they made!

Well I am really getting into this blogging thing. It made my day to get comments from my dear friends that I had lost touch with years ago. It is so nice to put up one posting and have all of my friends and family see it, wherever they may be and whenever their busy schedulde allows. Thank you Angela for helping me get started with my blog!

We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas, and wish all the best for 2009!
