I am grown and married with my own children, but I still miss my mom and cry sometimes. She was everything to me. Holidays and special occasions are especially difficult, and I just think about how much I wish she were here. Even still, I try to remind myself that I was blessed with twenty-seven years with her, and she left me a wonderful example that will always stay with me. I know that I have so much to be grateful for. I know that my mom would want me to be strong and to be happy for her, because she is free from her pain and reunited with her parents and other loved ones who have passed.

My heart is broken, but my spirit is strong. I have always been taught that death is not the end and families can be together forever. I've learned that even though God does not always give us what we pray for (as I prayed for my mom to be healed of her cancer), He does love us and will always give us the strength to face our trials. Our family has felt of God's tender mercies, and has been so
blessed with amazing friends, extended family, church members, and co-workers who have shown us so much love and support. I trust in the the Lord's plan, and I know that one day I can be reunited with my mom.

such a beautiful post Jonelle.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I thought about you, sorry I haven't called I'm so out routine these days with baby #3 here! One of these days I'll figure it out.
I was thinking about how much I miss my mother and she's only on her mission and I still am able to talk with her over skype every so often, so I can imagine how hard it can be at times. I love you, I miss you and can't wait for the day I get to give you a big hug!!
I miss your mom too! You are very much like her and that is probably why I enjoyed her company so. I can't imagine how hard it is for you at times. Please remember that she is not very far away and that we'll blink and this earth life experience will be done and you'll be in her arms again. I love you and miss you! Give your cute family hugs for me.
Oh Jonelle, I am so sorry to hear about your mom, she sounds like an amazing person. Hang in there, thank goodness we have the knowledge of eternal families, and can recognize the spirit and allow it to help us get through each day. Death is not the end, we know that, but it doesn't make us miss them any less. I will be praying for you.
Jonelle,
I balled reading your post about Mom. I miss her so much too. I have to agree holidays and special occasions are just not the same. I am so glad we still have each other. Mom's legacy lives through us. Love you!
